We all think we are geniuses. Some more than others.
Many believe we are, where we are, in life because we deserve it or because we have worked hard.
No one believes they have been lucky.
But, if you ask the most successful people such as Buffet, Branson and a host of others, they will readily admit their success had so much to do with luck or absence of bad luck.
So many never reach their potential because luck was not on their side.
Well luck was not on Becci’s side the day she had her stroke.
She was looking after a grand kid and was not found for at least 5 hrs after the onset of stroke. The damage was enormous. Many do not survive this.
Normally I would be by her side helping with the kids and she would have been treated quickly with minimum side effects. When I had my stroke she was next to me and after quick treatment my side effects are not usually noticeable.
Not that day.
I was in hospital having my defibrillator changed because of a recall. This by itself would be considered bad luck because this is only necessary once every 5 yrs.
It was only due to the incompetence of others that I was having the defibrillator changed on that particular day. Only one month prior I was sitting in hospital with an IV ready for the exact procedure.
Greed and incompetence over an insurance technicality caused the doctors office to cancel the procedure for that day and not tell myself or the hospital.
So the next time you think you’re a genius ponder this story. This was double bad luck.
This could be you.
Could you please help Becci?
We had not planned on another move and the cost will be huge. We will need close to $10K to make a move and pay deposit monies to a new landlord.
Our rich lawyer landlord will not give back any money. He has racked up so much in court costs and attorney fees.
